To be totally honest, I didn’t even know it was possible. As a matter of facts, if you Google Adwords how to delete sitelinks today, you’re not going to get any results from Google in the top positions.
At least I don’t.
All I see in the top search results are pages that ask how to or that say that you just can’t, or that the ability to delete sitelinks in an account is a missing feature in Adwords.
An these are rather old results too (2013).
So, I don’t know when this happened, but you can now delete sitelinks from your Adwords account, thank you Google!
My sitelinks section had become such a mess that I gave up using them.
Say you migrate your website and need to adapt your Adwords campaigns and ads to be relevant with the new pages and destination url’s, you would probably have to edit or rather delete a sitelink and create a new one.
Well, now you can!
Login to your Adwords
Select a campaign and click the Ad extensions tab (make sure sitelink is selected in the bottom tabs row)
Click the + extension button, as if you wanted to add a sitelink
And voilà! The small box with all the sitelinks opens up and now, if you hover on the right side of that box, you the option to delete any sitelink you want.
